This is an image i did for my second piece of coursework in semester one. The initial focus for the viewer is the centre. The i mage is of a single perspective and which is enhanced with several lines leading towards it. These are in the form of the pipes, railings and curb.
Depth is created in the image through a number of things. As the pipe and railings get further away they get smaller and less detailed which is known as texture gradient. The second way in which depth is created is with the use of relative contrast. The closer the artefact is in the image, the easier it is, to tell what's what. However in the distance is quite hard to do this.
When creating my media product i will have to bear in mind the depth qualities, ensuring audiences can tell its a 3d image. Texture gradient and depth perspective is very important and i will definitly make sure i make use of it in my prodcut.
