Gavin and Stacey - Series 3, Episode 1

This image is a scene from Gavin and Stacey. When we first see this image our eyes are naturally drawn towards the figure in the middle of the screen as he is at eye level. This is enhanced even more with the lines of the walls and the two cupboards on each side pointing towards a focal point that his behind him. This focal point also adds a sense of depth within the image which is again backed up with the brightness behind the figure. Towards the foreground we see more darker colours which adds to this sense of depth. It could be argued that we could apply the golden ratio to this image, with the main line running from the bottom left to top right alongside the edge of the desk.


Although it could be argues that the image is a closed frame, due to us been able to see the main the focal point fully, the whole desk isn't actually in shot meaning its open.
